The World of The Court Dancer

To celebrate the tenth  anniversary of Kyoung sook Shin’s American publishing debut of Please Look After Mom, her new book The Court Dancer will be published in August 2018 by Pegasus Books, in the US and around the world. 
To accompany the launch of The Court Dancer, we are planning to create an exhibition around the fashions of the Joseon court, including French designs from that period.  We would like to ask that the Ministry of Culture offers its support to this event.
This exhibition will bring to life the fashions of the historical period that Kyoung sook Shin writes about in her novel, giving readers in America and  around the world insight into this rich period of Korean history

Hankbok-Alive today

"International interest in traditional Korean couture has skyrocketed since an official measure began granting free entrance to Seoul's royal palaces for all tourists who come wearing Hanbok. This exhibition would be a terrific opportunity to showcase Hanbok for this new, international audience.
